All of my friends are simply shocked at how amazing it looks.Question here is should i renovate the other bathroom the same way or should i change it a little or alot. What are the rules of decorating?

  1. What style of your home, where the bathrooms are located, and what rooms the bathrooms are connected to are all factors involved in how to remodel the bathrooms…

We are currently remodeling 3 bathrooms… Have fun!!!

  2. Staying within the house style and your budget and talent is the only thing you ll need to be concerned about . Go for what you want .. GL

  3. There are absolutely no rules for decorating. It’s all personal taste. If you want the second bathroom the same, go for it. If you want to try something different, that’s good too. Maybe you could do the same thing in the second one but use different colors…???

  4. No, 2 baths do not have to be decorated the same…decorating rules are pretty much what the designer wants.

Use colors & textures that compliment the theme of the house for guest baths & that compliment the theme of the bedroom for master or private baths.

    Good luck…

  5. kabak505…Congratulations. It sounds like you did a nice job. To answer your question simply – no. By renovation do you mean changing the floor plan, walls, etc? or do you mean decorate? Floor plan can be the same, but decorating it the same may not be a good idea. Since you’ve decorated one that turned out magazine cover perfect, trust your judgment and do it again. If you have trouble with what direction to go, look at upscale store displays, restaurant restrooms, mags, etc. Little steps – budget and style decisions first. Floor covering, wall covering (tile, bead board, etc), tub, toilet, sink. Then add to your chosen style with the color and accessories. Like I said, you did it once – do it again. Good luck. LT

  6. Well, since you obviously enjoy the decorting part, here’s what I’d do:

Keep the same style – if it’s zen, stay zen; if it’s country french, stay country french – you get the idea. But don’t do it exactly the same. Have fun with it. I prefer an original instead of a reproduction because in my decorating world, a room is a canvas that speaks for itself and the only places with the bathrooms all being the same and it doesn’t matter is in a public toilet like at the movies ;) .

    Enjoy your new space!
