How do I repair a leaking shower spout?

Our shower spout (not the shower head) is leaking quite a lot. Can anyone help me to figure out how and what to repair? Please help. Any do it yourself links would be great so that I may view a diagram.

First of all it’s not the shower head. I took off the shower head and there’s small drips coming out of the pipe sticking out of wall, which comes out through the shower head. I took out the knobs and tried to adjust, but that didn’t work. I’m afraid I may have to go deeper and break into tiles to find where it’s leaking from. Somebody got any other ideas? Thanks

After replacing the handles on the hot,cold and shower. The shower head and faucet still leaks in the bathroom.

I need to know how to repair a leaky shower. I have a single handle shower and have recently had it replaced and now the shower leaks worse than ever. My plumber said he needed to tear out the wall and replace something behind the wall. Of course, big bucks. I fear that he looked at me and thought- stupid woman, nice house- big bucks…. help!

I replace a shower hear with one just like the one I had. Now there is a small leak around where the shower head and the wall meet. I think its in the connection. I have tighten the shoiwer head as tight as it will go. Is there anything to put around the shower head to make it stop leakinig?
I used teflon tape and the new shower head would not screw in with the o-ring in place
