I have been approved for a home equity loan but the computer appraisal is only valuing my house at 222k. I just completed 45k worth of renovations on my home including a new kitchen and bathroom so I know it will appraise much higher. My question is, if they ordered the walk thru appraisal today, about how long will it take for the appraisal to be completed and the report sent to my bank?

how to prepare surface – flaking acrylic paint from enamel and plaster?
My apartment renovations are grinding to a halt…the bathroom had no extraction fan and previous owners put acrylic paint over ceiling and walls. The substrate was enamel paint atop plaster walls/old plasterboard (1940s) ceiling. Its now flaking and when scraping, chipping through to the palster board in some places. Am very keen to egt the acrylic off ASAP. Its a real job every few days more flakes appear. Can I use a heat gun or will that be very bad for the plaster? Alternatively should I strip it back with some sort of chemical? Sanding is taking far too long, as the enamel wasn’t that smooth before they painted over it. Do I need to just scrape as much off as possible then resurface it with jointing compund then paint over the top again?
Any helpful suggestions would be most appreciated. Cal.
Workplace bathroom problem?
At work i used to share a restroom with 2 other women and the occasional visitor. Now, the second bathroom has been demolished for renovations and there are now 6 females and 5 males. (single toilet and sink together, and only 6 ft from my desk) My problem: Not everyone is using the manners that they were taught. We have one person that everyday at 10 am goes in an takes care of business for 20 minutes or so and then sprays half a can of air freshener, and for the next 4 hours or so, i feel like choking, as does any one else who follows. People dont wash their hands, they finish the paper towels or toilet paper and dont put the next roll on, leave the toilet seat up, dont clean up after themselves if the make a mess on the toilet, splashe water everywhere….its bad!! So! My question is, what do i do? I have already made mention to the owner and he kind of laughed it off and said “we’ll have to work on that”! is there a polite way to handle this?
i understand taking 20 minutes….but everyday! i can set a clock by his bathroom habits! he leave immediatly afterward to do sales, why does he have to do it here!!
i understand a bathrooms purpose! i just feel that there are more appropriate times, places and ways of using a ahared facility
What are some of the reasons a room in an old house would be completely sealed off when you buy it?
My grandmother purchased an old house to renovate, when she started doing her renovations she noticed that there was a window leading to a room that had no door opening inside of the house. She found the wall where the door should have been and took it down to discover a bathroom. What in the world would make a sane person essentially eliminate one of the rooms in their house, Do you think someone may have died in that bathroom
